ANTHARY

BRITISH SHORTHAIRS

****************   ****************
Profile

Anthea and JudeMy name is Anthea Wandby and I live with my partner in a small picturesque village overlooking the Firth of Forth River on the east coast of Fife, Scotland. I am a member of various cat clubs including the British Shorthair Cat Club, The Scottish Cat Club and the Shorthair Cat Club of Scotland of which I am a Committee member.

I have been a cat lover all my life and acquired my first British Shorthair cat purely by chance many years ago from a breeder who was relocating and anxious to find a good home for her one remaining kitten before she moved. Much has been written about these affable gentle giants, all of which is true and I immediately fell in love with my very affectionate boy. This in turn led me onto the show circuit where I have successfully shown my neuters. It is since my move to Scotland from West Yorkshire when I took early retirement, had more time on my hands and better facilities that I decided to venture into breeding and obtained my prefix Anthary. Since losing my beloved stud boy Gr Ch Mewsos Rory Macgregor, I now have another lilac boy Ch Anthary Hey Jude as my stud boy but hope to increase my stud boys with both blue and chocolate boys.

I am a firm believer in neutering and unless a cat is specifically bought for breeding, then I would strongly recommend neutering as they lead healthier happier lives. The smell of an entire tom cat's urine is not the most pleasant of aromas, nor is his practise of marking his territory by spraying, including your home, very nice either and a persistent calling queen can be a nightmare so the majority of my kittens will be placed on the non-active register to be sold to pet/show homes only.

I hope you enjoy visitng my web site and looking at my beautiful cats.

Best Regards

Anthea
